Breaking the Internet Connection with TuxCut

TuxCut is an application that can be used to cut off Internet connections of others who are still in the same LAN. tuxcut functions similar to functions Netcut application that runs on windows operating system, but TuxCut has the advantages of Protec Me feature, which feature Protec Me This serves to protect us if there TuxCut attacks from others.

For Network Administrators TuxCut certainly would be helpful if a time we are required to disconnect the internet connection while one user of a LAN network for some reason the computer user to broadcast to the network.

Ok, here are step-by-step to setup tuxCut on Ubuntu Linux ….!

I. Download TuxCut

TuxCut application is not currently available on linux ubuntu repositories, so we have to download it first in the link address http://bitbucket.org/a_atalla/tuxcut/downloads/TuxCut-3.2_all.deb.

root@server:~# cd /opt
root@server:/opt# wget http://bitbucket.org/a_atalla/tuxcut/downloads/TuxCut-3.2_all.deb

II. Supporting applications TuxCut

Before installing TuxCut, we must first install the application required by TuxCut:

root@server:/opt# apt-get install arp-scan dsniff arptables

III. Installation

If the supporting applications already installed, the next is tuxcut installation on ubuntu :

root@server:/opt# dpkg -i TuxCut-3.2_all.deb

IV. Using TuxCut

To run TuxCut on Ubuntu, TuxCut can be invoked with the command:

root@server:~# tuxcut

Or it could also find applications TuxCut in the panel menu bar on Ubuntu and if successful then TuxCut will appear as follows :

install tuxcut
