Webmail Client with Squirrelmail

SquirrelMail is a webmail client that simple, easily integrated, and has superb quality. it looks simple and light in a webmail client accessing it is widely used by the mail server makers.

To install squirrel mail as webmail client in ubuntu, please do the following:

root@mailserver:~# apt-get install apache2 libapache2-mod-php5 php5-cli php5-common php5-cgi squirrelmail

Then please edit the file /etc/apache2/apache2.conf, the command:

root@mailserver:~# vim /etc/apache2/apache2.conf

– Enter the following script section at the bottom -

Include /etc/squirrelmail/apache.conf

– Save with Esc :wq and Enter –

configuration that runs well please restart the mail server, the command:

root@mailserver:~# reboot

Finally, the installation process with SquirrelMail webmail client is finished, to check please do the following:

• Open your Internet browser, enter the url: http://ip_address_mailserver/squirrelmail
• If your configuration is correct, then you will view the first entry squirrelmail login, then enter your user name and password
